Wolf-Extra III, part 6.

Text file accompanying Wolf-Extra III, part 6, a Wolfenstein adventure.

Thank you for wanting to play Wolf-Extra III.

Wolf-Extra III is compiled for Spear of Destiny, using the Wolf3D/Spear source code released by Id Software.

Part 6 comes with an edited adiot. It runs with the original audiohed. (Running part 6 with the original audiot will make the game play the same music as part 3.)

Wolf-Extra III part 6 uses much of the resources of the original game, such as graphics, sounds and music.
To protect the copyright of the owner of the original game, the audiohed file is not included in the zip.
You must own a registered version of Spear of Destiny to supply that file.

How to install and run Wolf-Extra III, part 6.
Create a new directory called WX36.
Unzip WX36.ZIP in the WX36 directory.
Copy the audiohed file from your original Spear of Destiny directory to the new WX36 directory.
Start WX36.EXE

Important: All parts of Wolf-Extra III must be installed in different directories (folders).

Wolf-Extra III tactics: Use stealth as much as possible and find the right passages. Fight with the knife or a silent pistol (where there is one) to avoid being noticed, especially at the beginning of each game.

Important hints for part 6:

1) Part 6 offers a lot of puzzles, and hard fighting in certain stages. Quick thinking is sometimes required. Many different situations may occur. No matter what, you should always manage to get through. It is advisable though to leave several saved games (in different slots) making it possible to retrace your steps. The author of this game has played it through several times on purpose making the most difficult situations occur.

2) When you enter an elevator wait long enough for the elevator door you just walked through to close before opening the next elevator door. Not doing this may prove fatal.

3) Make sure an enemy who may leave you something necessary never falls on top of a death chalice.

4) Remember to find time and opportunity to finish off ALL mutants on floor 3 (the roof) at some stage before the final stage. Otherwise they will prove an extreme nuisance in the final stage of the game.

Each difficulty setting has the same number of enemies, but they are harder to beat on the higher settings.

Wolf-Extra III part 6 is freeware and may only be distributed free of charge.
All 9 files (including this text file) must be included, and no other.

The author of Wolf-Extra III kindly requests people not to modify Wolf-Extra III nor use part of it in other add-ons.
